Statement of Purpose
Gentle Readers,
Welcome to “Stuff My Fridge Says,” a photo blog dedicated to the words -weird, deranged and tragically misspelled- that daily appear on the fridge in my apartment in Brooklyn. During the summer, someone in my house purchased a set of alphabet refrigerator magnets and an unspoken battle royal began. With only one of each letter in the alphabet, we set out to make the funniest, wackiest, and most obscene sentences with the little options we had to work with. The results have been spectacular. My personal favorites so far have been “TWINX CRY,” “DIXSLAPN GUYZ,” and “BLAQ COX FOR ME.”
So we’ve now decided to chronicle each day of ridiculous wordsmithing that occurs in our apartment. We hope that you enjoy our collective dismantling of the English language. Hopefully, you’ll like it enough to play at home and send us submissions. Enjoy!
